A COIN FOR A THOUGHT This is last day our GNCT session for first year. Like all other days of GNCT, we had an interesting session. First, Miss.Sarasi collected a coin from each of us and all the coins were put in to a purse. Then the purse was rotated through the class and the moment where Miss.Sarasi tapped the table, the person with the purse had to take a coin out and he had to speak about the memories he had related to the year of the coin. 

The Egg Parachute This day is very interesting day for us. Because there was a group activity that day. We were excited on this day because we were informed last week to bring some eggs to the class. No-one had any clue as to what is the task we are going to get. The date was 27th of September, 2018 and this was our 2nd lecture on GNCT for the 2nd semester. After the lecture begun, we were divided in to 5 groups and each group was given an egg along with 5 A4 sheets and a cello tape. Our group consisted of 6 members.  We were instructed to cover the egg which we had with the papers, so that when structure is dropped from 6 feet, the egg should not crack. At the same time the structure should look creative and beautiful too. At first this looked like a real challenge for us. So first we came up with a plan after discussing among the group members.  The day was really awesome and amazing as today we had the chance to get a novel experience.

THE LAVA RIVER We were very fun and very interested that day. We had some real fun because of the activity we got to do today. We were divided in to 4 groups 5 in each, and we were given round shaped card boards. The activity we were supposed to do was to cross the classroom from one end to the other using the limited card boards we had got, with all the group members while ensuring that non of us our feet touched the tile instead of  the card board.

                                                                     CULTURE This day is very useful us.  Today we had to do a new activity. That was also a team work.That was very funny and also very creative. Firstly we have given information about this activity by our madam. She taught us how this activity do. Then our class divided into two groups.There are 8-9 members in one group. We were given few time to be prepared for that task. Then we presented that in front of the class. We presented a song and a drama for that presentation. the things we learnt from this: 1- team work 2-creativity 3-imagination 4-acting

Leadership This was a very interesting day for us. On 29th of November, we had an interesting session on Leadership. We learned lots of things from the session like different types of leaders, their qualities and how an actual leader should act. That day we learned many things. We learned leadership qualities that we should improve in our lives and some life stories of true leaders who live and who had lived in the world, which made the session more interesting, Miss. Sarasi Senadheera even started the lecture by teaching the fact that how all of us are born leaders taking the example of a sperm which meets the ova by defeating millions of its peers. PERSONAL GOALS There was a some activity this day. We had to present what our goal infront of the class. This week,15th of November we had to illustrate our personal goals on a Bristol board and had to present it in front of the class. This activity made me realize the actual goals of my life at a situation where I didn't have any idea of my future. This activity really helped all of us to identify our f uture goals as well as the challenges yet to come. 

                                             STANDING ON THE PAPER This day is very fun for us and we got many things this day. This week , on 8th of the November, we had another interesting activity in our GNCT session, It was another interesting session as usual. At first we were divided in to 4 groups, 8 members in each. Then each team was given one sheet of a newspaper, in which all the members had to stand on that paper. We had to stand sticking to one another and each members legs had to be inside the paper. We learned lot of things  in this activity; Team Work Time Management How to execute the plans How to stratagise a given task Co-operation Endurance Helping Others 

The Barter Puzzle  It is interested as previous days. On the 4th of October we had another interesting activity as usual. This time it was a puzzle. At first we were divided in to several groups and one from each team was summoned to the lecturer's table and all were given a piece of cardboard with one side blank and the other side with an image. We weren't supposed to look at the image and we were asked to cut the cardboard in to 90 small pieces. At first non of us had any idea what are we going to get later, so we started cutting them without any pattern or shape. After we had finished Miss. Sarasi put all the small pieces in separate envelopes and a small number of pieces were jumbled in other teams' envelopes. So the task we were given was to find out our teams missing parts from other teams and to complete the puzzle first.  We were able complete the puzzle by 95% and this activity helped us to learn so many things; Team work    ...

THE ROUND ROBIN  This is very fun and very interesting day for us. There was a session. We were divided in to 4 groups and we were asked to close our eyes. one member from each group should write a word in the white board so as to form a meaningful story.          Hence, we had to build a story with group members but with a condition, all the members In every group should be closing their eyes untill their turn is comming. When our turn is comming we should go to the white board and write only one word. Likewise we all should have to build a story. From this session we learned how to act according to a given situation and this helped us in developing our creativity skills.

                      THE  BINGO GAME This day we ware very happy and very interest day. Beacause we done little game in our class. This day on 5th of June we had this interesting game called "Bingo". It was our first time doing this game and it was a novel experience for all of us. We were given a p;ice of paper consisting of 25 general questions and we had to ask those questions from our friends. Then we had to mark the names of the people who gave positive answers for the question.             We learned so many things eventhough this was a very small game. We got to know about our batch mates , about their likes and dislikes and moreover each of us got the chance to share our experiences with each other.

                                                                    MY FRIEND My best friend is Nilan. He is good friend . We  have being  together from grade 6 and luckily in the same University now. His village name is Hettipola. His school name Science College Matale. He is always with me. Nilan secured 3Bs in his A/Ls with a good district rank and now he is currently a 1st year undergraduate at the University of Moratuwa. at the faculty of Engineering.  . He has five familly members. His father is a businessman, Mother is a house wife. He has an elder brother who works at school as a teacher and a sister who studies her A/L . His younger brother studies at grade 9. I never forget my brother. 

                                                    EXPERT GAME This day is very fun and very  useful us. In this task what we had to do was presenting a product or or a service with the talents of team members. It was very interesting. Our team members have fantastic talents on art. Someone is very good in drawing, someone is very good in playing drums and other musical instruments. So we have created an art academy according to what we had to do in this task. Our team have 9 members.This day we ware lot of fun.
